The 10th annual Ignited By Truth Catholic Conference will be held February 24-25, 2012, at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds Jim Graham Building in Raleigh. Supported by the Diocese of Raleigh, Ignited By Truth offers a weekend of dynamic speakers bringing to light the truth of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
This year’s presenters include:
Raymond Arroyo, Host of EWTN’s “The World Over Live”
Michael Barber, Ph.D., Professor of Theology, Scripture and Catholic Thought
Dr. Philip Mango, Catholic Psychotherapist
Sister Miriam James Heidland, Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity
John W. Garcia, founder of Sober for Christ
Mario St. Francis, Fashion Model on a Mission
Friday evening’s program begins at 6:00 p.m. with sessions in English and Spanish. Dr. Barber’s presentation will be “The Bible is a Catholic Book.” Dr. Mango will speak on “Jesus Christ: A Real Man.” The Spanish language sessions will be presented by Mr. Garcia, “Spiritual Combat,” and Mr. St. Francisc, “The Influence of Modern Media.” The Friday evening sessions are free.
Saturday will offer a full day of presentations, beginning with Praise and wroshop Music at 8:00 a.m. Sessions will include:
Mr. Barber – “Unlocking the Book of Revelation.”
Mr. St. Francis – “The Influence of Modern Media” (English)
Sr. Heidland – “From Volleyball to Convent: My Love Story”
Dr. Mango – “Understanding the Opposite Sex”
Mr. Garcia – “Spiritual Combat” (English)
Mr. Arroyo – “Lessons from Mother Angelica”
The conference will conclude with the celebration of Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m. by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge.
