Position Summary:

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh is seeking a Platform Administrator to join it's team. As a Platform Administrator, you will play a crucial role in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the ParishSOFT database systems within our diocese's parishes. You will work closely with parish staff and leadership to ensure seamless integration of ParishSOFT solutions, providing support, training, and ongoing guidance.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Manage and administer the ParishSOFT database system to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and data cleansing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ParishSOFT databases.
  • Provide some training and support to parish staff on ParishSOFT usage and best practices.
  • Work through an incident management system for user or data requests.
  • Generate and run queries, custom reports, and dashboards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ParishSOFT-related inquiries and support requests.
  • Evaluate roles-based permissions and maintain database security through MFA.
  • Develop, document, apply, and promote consistent database management standards through SOPs, knowledge base articles, and well-defined workflows.
  • Collaborate with the execution of ParishSOFT implementation projects across multiple parishes.
  • 10% travel to parishes when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, or a related field, or associated work experience in lieu of education.
  • At least 2-5 years of work experience relating to Data, Computer Science, and/or Operations. 
  • Proven experience in database administration, preferably with ParishSOFT or similar church management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in operations, maintenance, and support, preferably with data platforms.
  • Flexibility, ability to prioritize amongst competing deadlines.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
