SET Leaders Meeting - Fayetteville

Each Parish is asked to have a representative of their safe environment team at one of the eight deanery meetings. A Safe Environment Team is a required committee for a parish. This meeting will help us plan for the 2012-2013 instructional years and also introduce proposed changes to the way we monitor compliance to the Charter for the Protection of Children and young People (USCCB, 2002). Safe Environment Training

There will be a safe environment training session Tuesday, February 7, at Annunciation Parish/School in Havelock. The training will begin at 6:00pm. Come participate in the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. There is no charge for this session. You may come for initial training or us this session to fulfill your 5-year renewal. Please register by contacting the parish office at 252-447-2112. Safe Environment Training
St. Elizabet Ann Seton Parish in Fayetteville will host training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect on Tuesday evening the 7th of February at 7:00 pm. This is the safe environment training that is required for all employees and those who work in leadership with children and youth. Please call the parish office at 910-488-1797 to register and to learn the exact location for the session (910-791-1003). This session can serve as your initial training or your 5-year renewal.

Spanish Safe Environment Training
St Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Raeford is having the Safe Environment Training on Saturday February 11th from noon to 3:00pm. The training will be presented completely in Spanish mainly to catechists, parents, and/or directors of Religious Education Programs who feel more comfortable with the presentation in Spanish. Come participate in the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. There is no charge for this session. There will be a safe environment training session at on Monday, February 13, at 9:30 a.m. at the parish of St. Brenda in Shallotte. If you wish to attend, call Mary Hart at 910-754-8544 to get the directions. Come participate in safe environment training on recognizing and reporting child maltreatment. This is the training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. This session give you credit toward your 5-year renewal or your initial training session. If you are from another parish or faith community, you are welcome to attend.

There will be a safe environment training session Saturday March 3rd, 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon, in the Friends and Family Hall at St. Thomas More Church, 940 Carmichael Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Come participate in the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. There is no charge for this session.
