Senior Staff Accountant. The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina, a growing, vibrant Diocese, seeks highly motivated candidates for the position of Senior Staff Accountant.

The Diocese includes 54 counties of eastern North Carolina, covering just over 32,000 square miles. The Diocese is divided into eight deaneries with a total of 96 parishes, missions and stations and seven centers for campus ministry.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for general ledger accounting and budgeting for Catholic Charities. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet, income statement analysis, and preparing quarterly financial statements for Catholic Charities. The Senior Staff Accountant is also responsible for Diocesan endowment analysis and reconciliation, and the stock donation process.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of three years public and/or corporate accounting experience
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills and maintain cooperative working relationships with others

Campus Ministry Administrator. The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh has an immediate need for an Administrator to coordinate the business operations of the Diocesan Campus Ministry Office, including finances, personnel, continuing education and communications. The position reports to the Diocesan Director of Campus Ministry.

Duties:

Financial Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations of Diocesan Office and all campus ministry sites
    • Assist Campus Ministry Directors and Business Managers in preparation of annual budgets. Schedule and assist with annual budget presentations with Diocesan Director and local Directors/Business Managers and assist with approval of balanced budgets.
    • Prepare Campus Ministry Department budget for presentation to Diocesan Superintendent, including Diocesan Office budget and recommended Diocesan subsidy for each campus (with explanation of needs of each campus).
    • Oversee financial operations of all campus ministry sites. Assure accurate accounting. Prepare and review monthly with Diocesan Director financial reports for all campuses. Monitor financial operations of local sites and bring concerns to attention of Diocesan Director; assist Director in addressing concerns with local sites as nepareded.
    • Pay bills and keep financial records for Diocesan Office and assure compliance with Diocesan policies. Assure that accounts with all vendors are current. Bring concerns regarding accounts to attention of Director.
    • Maintain common charts of accounts for campus ministry sites, assist local sites with procedural questions, train new business staff at local sites, and assist local sites with business concerns as requested. Oversee use of Quickbooks online accounting system, training and advising local sites as needed.

Database Management

  • Oversee use of contact management system (eTapestry) used by local campus ministry sites for fund-raising and contact with donors. Serve as liaison with database vendor, assist local sites with effective use and train new employees on contact management system.

Personnel

  • Process hiring of new staff for all campus ministry sites, collaborating with appropriate Diocesan offices to set up payroll and benefits for new employees.
  • Assist Diocesan Director and local Directors with personnel matters. Serve as liaison between campus ministry sites and Diocesan offices of Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Communications, etc. as needed.
  • Field administrative procedural questions from staff and update administrative procedural documentation.

Meetings, Continuing Education

  • Coordinate Diocesan Campus Ministers’ Meetings: schedule meetings, draft agenda, arrange for facilities, provisions and supplies; coordinate with staff, guests and vendors; obtain speaker approval from Bishop’s Office; coordinate guest speaker appearances.
  • Assist Director and Campus Ministry staff as needed with special projects including strategic planning and ad hoc committees/task forces.

Office Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Diocesan Campus Ministry Office: maintain office inventories, equipment and files, office lease renewal, process correspondence, answer telephone, manage webpage on Diocesan website, respond to requests from Diocesan offices, and other duties as required.
  • Coordinate annual membership renewals in Catholic Campus Ministry Association for all sites and assure accuracy of information in CCMA and Diocesan directories.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field (equivalent years of experience may be substituted for a degree)

Technology Teacher. The Franciscan School, a Catholic parochial school with K-8th grade, is seeking a qualified teacher to work with the K-8th grades as a technology instructor and resource for students and faculty. The primary role of the teacher will be to instruct students in the proper use of technology and assist them in becoming proficient in the use of technology, including computer software, internet resources, search engines, and social media, as it applies to the goals and requirements of the Diocesan curriculum and the needs of the particular subject area instructors at The Franciscan School. Youth Ministry Specialist. Administrative Assistant for Catholic Formation and Education. An immediate opportunity exists for an Assistant to serve the needs of The Franciscan School and the Evangelization Ministry Office. This is a part-time, 20 hour a week administrative position.

7th-8th Grade Algebra / Geometry Teacher. St. Thomas More Catholic School in Chapel Hill is accepting applications for a 7th/8th grade algebra/geometry teacher. Director of Faith Development. St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, a Jesuit Parish of 4000 families in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a full time Director of Faith Development. The Director oversees a comprehensive parish religious formation program with direct responsibility for creating and implementing the adult faith development program and supervisory responsibility for the youth faith formation program. Business Manager - Duke Catholic Center. The Business Manager is responsible for the business and general operations of the Duke Catholic Center at Duke University. The person is hired and reports to the Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Responsibilities:

Part-Time Teacher Aid. Immaculata Catholic School in Durham is searching for a part-time teacher's aid for an elementary school opening. The candidate should be outgoing, nurturing, patient with children, and can work collaboratively with others. Experience working with children is a plus but is not a prerequisite.

The position is for 19.5 hours per week, and the candidate will not be eligible for medical benefits.
