The October issue of the NC Catholics will be arriving in mail boxes next week. However, the magazine is available online at this time. The cover story is on the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, which the Diocese of Raleigh helped establish. October is Respect Life Month for the US Church. In his monthly column, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge reflects on this year’s theme, “The measure of love is to love without measure.” The issue also contains the first in a series of informational articles on the revised Roman Missal, which will be implemented in parishes throughout the United States the first Sunday of Advent 2011. Other stories include the Saint of the Month, and a reflection by Dr. Paul Griffiths on Pope Benedict XVI’s recent beatification of Blessed John Cardinal Newman. Also featured is Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock, the parish profile of the month.
