Re-opening of Vatican Library Featured on CNS Video Reports

larger font

Pope Benedict XVI returned to the Vatican last week from his summer residence Castel Gandolfo. The Holy Father returns to two full months on his schedule leading up to the start of Advent, November 28. Major events taking place at the Vatican in October and November are reported in a story available on Catholic Video News Service on the Diocesan web site.

Other stories include the re-opening of the Vatican Library, which underwent a major renovation; a meeting of two dozen inter-religious leaders meeting with Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to encourage the U.S. government to continue its efforts at achieving a Mideast peace; and a report on Pope Benedict’s weekly general audience, in which he spoke of St. Gertrude the Great and how, by her example, she teaches us how to love the Lord.
