Diocese Hires Coordinator of Catholic Formation and Evangelization
Bishop Michael F. Burbidge and Sister Rose Adams, I.H.M., are pleased to announce that Mary DiSano has been appointed to the full-time position of Coordinator of Catechesis and Faith Formation in the Department of Catholic Formation and Evangelization.
Since 2000, Mary has served the Diocese on a part-time basis as Coordinator for Marriage Preparation. In this new position, she will assist the Diocese in the implementation of the newly revised Religion Curriculum Guidelines and support all the Faith Formation initiatives of the department.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Minor in Theology from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, North Carolina, and has been a Master Catechist since 2003. Additionally, Ms. DiSano has served the Diocese of Charlotte as Director of Young Adult Ministry and as Associate Director of Development.
“It has been such a privilege to serve in the Diocese on a part-time basis over the past ten years,” said DiSano. “The Department of Catholic Formation and Evangelization offers so many worthwhile programs and events. “I embrace this opportunity to participate more fully in the development of many of our programs, but most especially in the areas of Catechesis and Faith Formation.”
