Bishop Burbidge Announces Pastoral Assignment for Wrightsville Beach
Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, announces the following:
Effective May 17, 2010
Reverend Monsignor Matthew D. Hendrick, Pastor of St. Therese Parish, Wrightsville Beach, retires from active priestly ministry and will have residence at St. Joseph of the Pines, Southern Pines.
Reverend Thomas R. Davis, in residence at St. Therese Parish, Wrightsville Beach, is appointed Administrator of St. Therese Parish, Wrightsville Beach.

Reverend Fernando Meléndez, a priest of the Diocese of Chimbote (Peru), is released by the Most Reverend Ángel Francisco Simon Piorno, Bishop of Chimbote for priestly ministry in the Diocese of Raleigh for a period of at least one year. Bishop Burbidge extends his welcome to Father Meléndez to the Diocese of Raleigh. Father Meléndez has temporary residence at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Newton Grove.
