Bishop Burbidge’s Easter Homily at Sacred Heart Cathedral
The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge celebrated Easter Vigil Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Holy Saturday. Approximately 1,200 men and women were welcomed into the Church that evening in parishes throughout the Diocese of Raleigh. In his Easter homily, Bishop Burbidge spoke of the breakdown of Christian values and moral principles present in our country today. He offered encouragement stating that the resurrection of Jesus serves to alleviate our fears and uncertainties, replacing them with hope.
