The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge will celebrate the June Holy Hour for Vocations at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Wake Forest at 7:00 PM, Friday June 4. Since September, Bishop Burbidge and Diocesan Vocations Director Father Ned Shlesinger have been celebrating a Holy Hour each month in one of the Diocese’s eight Deaneries.  The Prayer Service and Benediction for Vocations will resume in September.

Next week’s Holy Hour will be celebrated the evening before the Transitional Diaconate Ordination Mass for Mr. Brendan Buckler, which will also be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, June 5 at 10:00 AM.  This fall, Mr. Buckler will be entering his final year of formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and, with God’s grace, is scheduled to be ordained to the Priesthood in 2011.

In addition, listed at the link below are First Friday events scheduled by parishes, campus ministries and schools throughout the Diocese of Raleigh who are participating in the Diocese’s initiative of creating a “culture of discernment” for vocations. Faith communities are providing the opportunity in several ways including Mass, Holy Hour, Adoration and Benediction. Catholic faithful are invited to participate in the pray devotion at a parish listed below.
