The semi-annual 40 Days for Life campaign began Ash Wednesday and will continue from 7am-7pm through March 28. Pro-life advocates in Raleigh are joining with others throughout North America, Australia and Northern Ireland in what is the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history.

Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge along with 24 men and women gathered at 7:30am Friday, February 19, to pray the rosary in front of the women’s Health Organization of Raleigh.  Bishop Burbidge is asking Catholic faithful to pray during this Lenten season for the protection of human life.

In addition to prayer, the 40 Days for Life focuses on fasting, peaceful vigil and community outreach.  Additional information on the campaign is available at www.40daysforlife.com/raleigh.
