A conference honoring the memory of Father Edward P. Mahoney will be held at Duke University, November 6-7. Father Mahoney, a priest in the Diocese of Raleigh, passed away on January 8, 2009. He was a member of the Duke Department of Philosophy for 40 years, specializing in medieval and Renaissance philosophy.

The two-day conference, focusing on "Metaphysics and Psychology in Late Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy," begins Friday, November 6, with a 3:30 PM talk and continues through Saturday at 6:00 PM. The gathering will be held at the West Duke Building. There is no registration fee, but those planning to attend, including the free catered luncheon, are asked to email their reservation to Faisal Kahn at FRK2@duke.edu.
