The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, will celebrate a “Blue Mass” for all First Responders (Police, Fire and EMS Personnel) on the Feast of the Guardian Angels, Friday, October 2, 2009 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh at 12:00 PM.

Bishop Burbidge will recognize and speak on the importance of the gift of faith to the women and men of our community who serve us as public safety employees, acknowledging the valuable contributions of Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters and Emergency Medical Service along with their families, support staff, and volunteers.

Chief Harry Dolan of the Raleigh Police Department will offer remarks at the conclusion of Mass on behalf of all First Responders.
