Monthly Holy Hour for Vocations Scheduled for Deaneries

Parishes and schools throughout the Diocese of Raleigh will resume celebration September 4 of a Holy Hour for Vocations on the First Friday of each month. (A listing of the scheduled services is available).

In addition to the First Friday services, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge and Diocesan Vocations Director Father Ned Shlesinger will travel to one Deanery a month where the faithful of the Deanery will be invited to join the Bishop in a Holy Hour dedicated to vocations.

The first Holy Hour will take place in the Raleigh Deanery, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on September 2, at 7:00PM. A reception will follow each of the monthly services.

Dates for the Deanery Holy Hours are:

  • September 2, 2009 (Wednesday) – Raleigh Deanery
  • October 2, 2009 (First Friday) – Piedmont Deanery
  • November 10, 2009 (Tuesday) – Newton Grove Deanery
  • December 4, 2009 (First Friday) – Tar River Deanery
  • January 8, 2010 (Friday) – Fayetteville Deanery
  • February 5, 2010 (First Friday) – New Bern Deanery
  • March 5, 2010 (First Friday) – Albemarle Deanery
  • April 30, 2010 (Friday) – Cape Fear Deanery

Host parishes for the October-April Deanery Holy Hours will be announced in the coming weeks.
