Bishop Burbidge Extends Welcome to Native American Catholic Conference
The 70th Annual Tekakawitha Conference officially begins Wednesday evening, July 1 with more than 500 people registered to participate The national gathering attracts Native American Catholics from more than 100 tribes. The four-day event will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge will celebrate Mass Thursday, July 2 at 4:00 p.m. and will concelebrate Mass Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Archbishop Charles Chaput, OFM, CAP of Denver, Tekakawitha Conference Episcopal Moderator.
Bishop Burbidge will extend an official diocesan welcome to attendees at the opening dinner Wednesday evening.
