The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge celebrated Mass for the Second Sunday of Easter at Saint Mary Church in Laurinburg. The liturgy included the Anointing and Incensation of the new Altar.

Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament with Divine Mercy Devotions took place after Communion, followed by the Blessing of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, patron saint of the Philippines.

Father JaVan Saxon, Pastor of Saint Mary, expressed gratitude to the Filipino community of the parish for helping to bring about the special area dedicated to Our Lady.

A Papal Blessing was presented to Dr. Timothy and Theresa Moses for their generous support in the renovation of the sanctuary, the daily chapel and the creation of the shrine.
