Bishop Burbidge Extends Sympathy and Prayers to Carthage Victims
Statement from the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge Regarding the Tragic Incident at Pinelake Health and Rehab:
On behalf of all those in the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, I extend my deepest sympathy to staff and residents of Pinelake Health and Rehab and the families of the eight people killed yesterday. We ask the Lord our God to give them strength during this most difficult time and to assist all those involved in this tragic incident.
Saint Joseph of the Pines and our Diocesan Catholic Charities Office have offered their services and stand ready to assist in any way possible.
I have asked that our parishes include a special prayer in the Prayer of the Faithful at Masses this weekend remembering the faithful departed, their families and all those associated with Pinelake Health and Rehab.
