Bishop Burbidge Discusses Events Marking Start of 2009
The first six weeks of 2009 have been busy ones in the Diocese of Raleigh with Pro-Life Masses and marches, participation in a national postcard campaign, Catholic Schools Week and the kick-off of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
In a question and answer video discussion, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge comments on the major activities that have taken place since the beginning of January. The discussion is divided into two segments.
Topics in the first segment include:
- The North Carolina Mass for Life, celebrated by the Bishop on January 17
- The Annual Mass for Life jointly celebrated by Bishop Burbidge and Bishop Peter J. Jugis of Charlotte at the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, DC
- The National Postcard Campaign against FOCA
- The kick-off of the 2009 Bishop’s Annual Appeal Campaign
