larger font

On this week’s editions of Catholic Perspective and Catholic Weekly, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge reviews discussions and decisions made at the fall general assembly meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Topics include the exhortation on the sacrament of Penance, a new strategic plan for the Church, a proposal to provide support to the Archdiocese of the Military, and a document on preaching.

The programs also feature a visit to Catholic Parish Outreach during Thanksgiving week, the busiest week of the year. The agency, operating under the direction of Catholic Charities, has been providing food and other assistance to approximately 10,000 people a month during the last quarter of the year.
