Bishop Requests Prayers for Wisconsin Victims and Community

The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge is asking the faithful in the Diocese to join him in praying for the victims and families of those impacted by the shooting yesterday at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, that took the lives of seven people, including the gunman.

"While words appear weak at a time like this, prayers are strong," Bishop Burbidge said. "May God’s love be a source of strength and consolation for everyone who has been affected by this tragedy. May Our Lord lead us to peace in our land and our hearts."
