The Pro-Life Office of the Diocese of Raleigh is sponsoring a lecture titled “The Human Person According to Pope John Paul II." The presenter will be Msgr. J. Brian Bransfield, Assistant General Secretary for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Executive Director of the Secretariat of Evangelization. Msgr. Bransfield’s talk will be based on his book by the same title.

A noted speaker and retreat director, Msgr. Bransfield will explain the teaching of the late Holy Father’s “Theology of the Body,” which provides all people an inspiring vision of the human person. Msgr. Bransfield will address two primary topics: Is it possible to find happiness in a world that’s rushed and wounded? and What does it mean to be human?  Reviewers have commended him for presenting Pope John Paul II’s teaching in an easy to understand and approachable way.

The presentation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Raleigh, May 15, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. For additional information, contact Mrs. MaryBeth Phillips at 919-719-8267 or by email at Marybeth.phillips@raldioc.org.
