NC Bishops Request Prayers for Woman’s Right to Know
The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge and the Most Reverend Peter J. Jugis are asking the faithful of their respective Dioceses to join them in prayer as the North Carolina General Assembly considers an attempt to override Governor Beverly Perdue’s veto of the Woman’s Right to Know Act.
The Bishops also express their gratitude to all who contacted their legislators in support of the Act during the last several months. Those who may wish to make their support of the Act known to their legislators can still do so. Contact information for state senators and representatives, along with the letter from both Bishops and Pope Benedict XVI’s Prayer for the Unborn, is available on the Catholic Voice NC website.
