For the fifth year, the Most Reverend Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will celebrate the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass for couples commemorating their 25, 50 and 50 plus years of marriage in 2011. The Mass will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at 3:00 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church in Greenville.

Reflecting on past Anniversary Masses, Bishop Burbidge said, “To look out and see all the couples who have been married for 25, 50 and more years is a wonderful expression of their commitment to the vocation of marriage.”

The Mass will be followed by a reception for the anniversary couples and their families. Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th or over 50 year anniversary are asked to contact their parish office to register for this special event no later Monday, May 9, 2011.

Parishes will provide the names of couples who plan to attend the event to the Marriage and Family Life Office of the Diocese of Raleigh. For more information please contact Mrs. Linda Bedo, Director of Marriage and Family Life at 919-821-9753 or by email at Linda.Bedo@raldioc.org.
