Cape Fear Deanery to Host April Vocations Celebration
St. Mary Parish in Wilmington will host the April Vocations Celebration, Friday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m., which takes place each month in one of the Diocese’s eight deaneries. This month, the Cape Fear Deanery will hold a bilingual Stations of the Cross for Vocations at 7:00 p.m., with the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge presiding. The monthly Vocations celebration affords the faithful in the Diocese the opportunity to pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. All are invited to attend.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Department of Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations has developed a new website to provide resource material to men and women discerning vocations, as well as to families and parishes: www.foryyourvocation.org.
The Diocesan Vocations web address is www.raleighvocations.org. There you will find additional resource material and information on the men in priestly formation for the Diocese.
Each month, parishes and schools in the Diocese conduct a First Friday for Vocations event, listed at the link below. If your parish has a First Friday event that is not listed or if the information is listed incorrectly, please send your event information to the Office of Vocations in care of firstname.lastname@example.org.
