On Saturday, March 19, 2016, Msgr. David D. Brockman, Vicar General, will speak about the life of St. Joseph. His presentation is part of a Feast of St. Joseph celebration, which will be held in the Fallon Center at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Raleigh. The event, which runs from 7 until 9 p.m., features a silent auction, entertainment, beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
Proceeds benefit the Mercy Fund of St. Joseph Primary Care, a nonprofit clinic which seeks to meet the medical needs of the uninsured and underinsured by offering patients comprehensive, affordable and personal care.
“We are inspired by St. Joseph as a worker. We think of this clinic as the work that God sent to us,” Dr. Thuhuong Trinh, who runs the clinic with her husband Dr. Peter Le, said. “We hope that St. Joseph will pray for us and help us have the material we need to carry out the work.”
Dr. Trinh added that the event is for adults and children and that a movie will be available for young children. Entertainment, she said, is by the Irish Rose, a duo of author Eileen Leamy and Dr. Grace Rose, who both play strings.
Tickets are $10, and children are free. According to organizers, the event has a limited capacity, and RSVPs may be made by phone at 919-386-6866 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
