At 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 22, Bishop Michael Burbidge will celebrate the annual Chrism Mass at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary. All are welcome to attend!
The Chrism Mass will be concelebrated by priests ministering in the Diocese. This special Mass is a public expression of the unity of the Diocese, the unity of the Bishop and the priests serving in the Diocese, and it is a celebration of the institution of the Priesthood and priestly service.
During the Mass, the Bishop blesses the holy oils to be used by all Diocesan parishes for Baptisms, Confirmations, Ordinations and Anointing of the Sick in the coming year.
Starting just before 2:00pm on Tuesday during Holy Week, you can view a live stream of the entire event.
We will also be covering the Chrism Mass on Facebook, Twitter, and Periscope.
