Bishop Blesses New Facilities of Independent Catholic School
St. Thomas More Academy, an independent Catholic school in the Diocese of Raleigh, dedicated its new chapel and school building Saturday, August 25. The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge presided at the Dedication Mass. The school, now in its sixth year of operation, has a current enrollment of 85 students.
In his homily, Bishop Burbidge said the blessing of the chapel and school exists “so that students can always be aware of their sources of strength: the Sacraments, Prayer, God’s Word and the teachings and traditions of our Holy Catholic Faith.”
