Bishop Zarama urges prayer with hope and faith for those suffering after Las Vegas shooting

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are stunned and saddened by the loss of life and injury in the senseless shooting in Las Vegas. We find ourselves again facing another tragedy and the mystery of human suffering.

In times such as these, we, as Catholics, can turn to Mary, Our Blessed Mother. Mary was also without understanding at the foot of her Son on the Cross, but she suffered with faith and hope.

Let us pray through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, without understanding, but with hope and faith for all who are suffering.

May our Lord heal our nation and give peace and comfort to those full of sorrow.
