Bishop Burbidge responds to violence in Charlotte

The following is a statement by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Diocese of Raleigh regarding recent violence and protests in Charlotte:

I ask all in the Diocese of Raleigh and all people of good will to be united in prayer as we ask God to bring an end to violence in Charlotte and throughout our nation. With the Lord's help may all forms of division be eradicated so that we live together in harmony and reflect the unity that is ours as members of God's holy family. May we also be resolved to be an instrument of unity and peace at home, in our schools, workplaces, and communities at this unsettling time in our nation and always.
