Middle School

  • Jamboree!
    Note: Updated forms coming soon.
    This high energy Saturday event is for youth grades 6-8 to gather for social action activities, outdoor liturgy, picnic, keynote speaker, community building and lots of fun!

High School

  • Youth Convention
    Convention is a diocesan-wide gathering for grades 9-12 in a weekend celebration. The weekend will offer workshops, live skits, prayer experiences, awards and the appointing of the next youth board. Come take part in this amazing event, it is sure to change your life!
  • Disciples on the Journey
    Disciples on the Journey is a diocesan-wide, overnight camp-out for high school youth in grades 9-12. It features a variety of learning stations on the life and mission of the Church as well as fun and spiritual activities. The highlight is liturgy with Bishop Burbidge. This event will be held at Short Journey Center in Smithfield.
  • Faithful Servant Leadership Institute
    Peer Leadership Application: Word | PDF
    Learn to serve as Jesus did. This program is for youth (9-12 grade) who want to develop and use their leadership skills, and for the adults who work with them. Learn valuable tools for your parish and for life! This event is jointly sponsored by the Dioceses of Charlotte and Raleigh and this year will be hosted by the Diocese of Charlotte.
  • Search for Christian Maturity Retreat

    Search is a weekend retreat for 11th – 12th grade youth. Activities encourage self-discovery and reflections on relationships with others and with God. Retreat team is made up of past Searchers who model leadership, faith sharing, and ministry with their peers. Adults in youth ministry also attend and participate in Search. These events usually fill up quickly, so sign-up for the earliest date possible to ensure yourself a space. For a complete list of Search retreat dates, see the Youth Ministry calendar.

  • Connections Retreat
    Note: Updated forms coming soon.
    Connections is a weekend retreat for 9th – 10th grade youth. The retreat focuses on community building, spiritual growth, self-esteem, and relationships with family, friends, and God. This retreat involves low ropes courses and other physical challenge type activities.
