Middle School

Challenge Retreat (PDF)
Challenge is a Friday-Saturday overnight retreat for grades 6-8. The retreat focuses on community building, self-esteem, scripture, and relationships with friends, family, and Jesus. We will be offering this retreat at multiple sites on two different weekends this year.
FaithTrax (PDF)
FaithTrax is a diocesan sponsored day-long program of fun and faith formation for middle school youth (6th-8th graders), their parents and adults who work with them.
Jamboree! (PDF)
This high energy Saturday event is for youth grades 6-8 to gather for social action activities, outdoor liturgy, picnic, keynote speaker, community building and lots of fun!

High School

Youth Convention (PDF)
Convention is a diocesan-wide gathering for grades 9-12 in a weekend celebration. The weekend will offer a carnival, keynoter, workshops, prayer, activities, dance, talent show, liturgy, Youth Board elections, awards and lots more.
National Catholic Youth Convention (PDF)
This is the biennial high school conference which gathers an estimated 20,000+ Catholic youth from all across the country to worship, learn, and celebrate together. There will be keynote speakers, musical performances, daily liturgy and prayer experiences and as always, lots of surprises!
Back to Earth (PDF)
This diocesan wide camp-out is for youth in grades 9-12. Included are an outdoor liturgy, games, dance, movie, a keynote speaker, and camping fun with youth. Justice and service are usual themes of this event.
Faithful Servant Leadership Institute (PDF)
Learn to serve as Jesus did. This program is for youth (9-12 grade) who want to develop and use their leadership skills, and for the adults who work with them. Learn valuable tools for your parish and for life! This event is jointly sponsored by the Dioceses of Charlotte and Raleigh and this year will be hosted by the Diocese of Raleigh.
Search for Christian Maturity Retreat (PDF)
Search is a weekend retreat for 11th – 12th grade youth. Activities encourage self-discovery and reflections on relationships with others and with God. Retreat team is made up of past Searchers who model leadership, faith sharing, and ministry with their peers. Adults in youth ministry also attend and participate in Search. Searches usually fill up quickly, so sign-up for the earliest date possible to ensure yourself a space.
Connections Retreat
Connections is a weekend retreat for 9th – 10th grade youth. The retreat focuses on community building, spiritual growth, self-esteem, and relationships with family, friends, and God. This retreat involves low ropes courses and other physical challenge type activities.

Youth Ministry Support Gathering (YMSG) (PDF)
YMSG is a series of informal gatherings during the course of the year for adults working with young people. Participants gather from across the Diocese of Raleigh for support, networking, encouragement, and growth.
Youth Ministers' Institute (PDF)
The Annual Youth Ministers' Institute is an opportunity to gather for adults who work with middle school and high school aged youth in parishes and schools. It is a time for professional and spiritual development, networking, relaxation, and renewal.
