Diocese Celebrates 150th Search!
The Diocese of Raleigh celebrated its 150th Search for Christian Maturity Retreat. Since Search #1 in September 1976, more than 5,600 youth and adults have participated in this program, which is modeled after the Cursillo Weekend. Features of the celebration included: a closing Mass celebrated by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge; letters of congratulations from the Governor’s Office (PDF) and the Diocese of Charlotte Youth Ministry Office (PDF); sharing from past Searchers; and the announcement of the establishment of a Stations of the Cross Prayer Garden, scheduled to be dedicated in the fall.

Inspired by the US Catholic Conference of Bishops' vision of a comprehensive Youth Ministry (Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, USCC, 1997), the Youth Ministry Office of the Diocese of Raleigh offers:

Our programs assist youth, adults, and parishes in their efforts at effectively ministering with adolescents in grades 6-12.
