Young Adult Mission Trip
Week at a Glance
Saturdays are travel days in and out of Honduras. It is a two-hour ride from the San Pedro Sula Airport to/from where we'll stay: the Catholic Mission House in San Juan Pueblo, Honduras.
On Sunday, respecting the Sabbath and local culture, no work on projects will be done. Rather, we will use Sunday to meet the people already working on projects connected to social justice initiatives already underway, get oriented to our specific projects, and of course, attend Mass with Fr. Marcos.
Monday thru Thursday will start and end with prayer or Mass. These are our major workdays. Depending on our projects, people will work in groups according to the tasks. Time will also be available for Spiritual Direction during the week. During the week, we will interact with many Hondurans in various capacities.
On Friday, Padre Marcos will be leading us on a day trip to visit the ancient ruins in Honduras. Lunch and dinner will be at local restaurants. Then we will continue on to San Pedro Sula, stay in a hotel in the city, and prepare for an early AM departure on Saturday.
