Project Rachel Retreat
Abortion is one of the most common procedures in the US, experienced by millions of women, many of whom are Catholic. Abortion creates a wound in post-abortive women (and men), resulting in spiritual and emotional problems. The Project Rachel ministry assists women and men who have been wounded by abortion to find truth and healing. If you have experienced an abortion and would like more information about the retreat, contact Project Rachel at (919) 852-1021 or email projectrachel@nc.rr.com. For more information go to http://projectrachelnc.org/ (website). Calls and appointments are kept strictly confidential.

Rite of Blessing of the Child in the Womb
The Office of Pro‐Life and the Office of Divine Worship are promoting the Rite of the Blessing of the Child in the Womb Ceremony on the Third Sunday of Advent, sometimes called Gaudete Sunday (Gaudete means “Rejoice”) which reminds the church of the joy that Christ’s birth will bring to us. The ceremony is meant to encourage parish prayers for ‐‐ and recognition of ‐‐ the precious gift of the child in the womb, and to foster respect for human life within society.

Love My Life Youth Rally
This event is an opportunity for Catholic teens to come together to celebrate life, to connect with others from across the Diocese and to learn more about living and promoting the pro-life culture. Prior to the Rally, the Bishop will celebrate mass at 10:30 a.m. Following the Rally, the youth are encouraged to participate in the March for Life at Nash Square at 1:00 p.m.
The Love My Life Rally will feature dynamic speakers, music, and great free food, and will draw our youth to live out a culture of loving, protecting and celebrating all human life! As Catholics, we are all called to live life abundantly, and this event will inspire our youth to join with hundreds from our Diocese in witnessing to others God’s special gift of human life.
