Please note: Our Marriage Preparation programs are designed for attendance by a couple. If for some reason beyond your control you are not able to attend together (such as military deployment), please contact the Marriage Preparation office.

The results of the Fully Engaged are not reviewed at the Marriage Preparation Workshop. Results of the Fully Engaged are sent to the priest or his designate preparing the couple for marriage. The engaged couple should plan to attend several meetings for Fully Engaged review in addition to the Marriage Preparation Workshop. 

One-Day Marriage Preparation Workshop

What it is: A Saturday workshop presenting topics that deal with important issues regarding marriage.

There is minimal time for couple dialogue. Most workshops begin at 9:00a.m. and conclude at 4:30p.m. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided.

Cost of the workshop is $125 per couple in 2012 and includes Fully Engaged. (Instructions for taking Fully Engaged will be sent when workshop payment is received.) $25.00 of the fee is non-refundable. Please make checks payable to Diocese of Raleigh and mail to:

Schedule for One-Day Marriage Preparation Workshop

Remarriage Preparation Workshop

What it is: A workshop for couples who plan to remarry. Not only are the required Marriage Preparation topics covered, but remarriage and the Catholic Church, remarriage readiness and parenting / step-parenting issues are addressed.

Schedule for Remarriage Preparation Workshop

Weekend for Engaged Couples

CHANGE effective beginning in January 2012

The Weekend for the Engaged program provides couples the opportunity to hear presentations and dialogue on marriage life skills such as; family of origin, communication and conflict resolution, stewardship of finances, vocation and career decisions, family planning, ecumenical marriage, and Sacramental marriage.

Personal reflections and couple dialogue are offered during the weekend, with communal meals and liturgy providing group participation. The weekend begins with registration at 7:00pm on Friday, and the program begins promptly at 7:30pm and ends Sunday at about 1:00pm.

Cost of the weekend is $275 per couple and includes Fully Engaged. (Instructions for taking Fully Engaged will be sent when workshop payment is received.) This includes separate accommodations for men and women, meals, and all materials. $100.00 of the fee is non-refundable. Please make checks payable to Diocese of Raleigh and mail to:
