Marriage & Family

Fully Engaged

Fully Engaged is a pre-marital inventory tool with 185 questions, which is taken on-line by each person preparing for marriage (couples take the inventory separately). It is designed to assist couples in learning more about one another and helps to facilitate discussion about issues encountered in marriage. Fully Engaged was developed in 2009 to help engaged couples solidify the foundation upon which they, together with Christ, will build their Sacramental Marriage. The inventory is designed to foster the Catholic identity of the couple. The program invites the couple to become: more familiar with the Catholic tradition of marriage, more involved in parish life and more committed to Christ and one another. Results from the Fully Engaged inventory are sent to the priest or parish preparing the couple for marriage. Upon completion the couple will review the results with their priest or his delegate.

Couples must attend the Marriage Preparation Workshop prior to meeting for the Fully Engaged results review in order to receive their Fully Engaged couple workbooks.

The cost for Fully Engaged is included in Marriage Preparation workshop fees. Instructions for taking the inventory will be sent after workshop payment is received.

The results of the Fully Engaged are not reviewed at the Marriage Preparation Workshop. Results are sent to the priest or his delegate preparing the couple for marriage. The engaged couple should plan to attend several meetings for Fully Engaged review in addition to the Marriage Preparation Workshop.
