About
Our Holy Father Benedict XVI has declared a special Jubilee Year in celebration of the Apostle Paul from June 28, 2008 until June 29, 2009. This year-long celebration will mark the two thousandth anniversary of the birth of Saint Paul. The Holy Father foresees this year as an opportunity for all Christians to enter more deeply into the teachings of the first great theologian of Christianity whose proclamation of faith in Christ has marked our entire Tradition so profoundly.
To inaugurate this Year of Saint Paul in the Diocese of Raleigh, we will begin with a Mass at St. Paul in New Bern on Saturday, June 28, 2008. The Mass is at 5:00 p.m. and Bishop Michael Burbidge will be the principal celebrant.
