This year marks the Diocese of Raleigh's fifth annual celebration of Lay Ministry Sunday, which was established by Bishop Burbidge to celebrate God's call to all the baptized to use their gifts in service to others and to the Church. Parishes are invited to take advantage of this Sunday to acknowledge both the sanctity of God's call and the generous response of lay ministers. Especially during this Year of Faith, we commend our lay ministers for the many ways they witness the Lord Jesus to others.
