Rite of Election I

The Rite of Election and the Call to Continuing Conversion is a celebration of the Diocesan Church. During the Rite, Candidates and Catechumens who are answering God’s call have that call affirmed by the Church. They will enter into Full Communion with the Church in their respective parishes during the Easter Vigil, with the Catechumens receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.  The Rite will be celebrated in the Diocese of Raleigh the first two Sundays of Lent.  To provide for a fuller celebration for those catechumens and candidates whose native language is Spanish, there will be a celebration of the Combined Rite in Spanish.
