Job Description: The Bookkeeper position will provide support to the administrative offices of Catholic Charities from late November 2017 through approximately mid-March 2018. The Bookkeeper is responsible for: answering general phone calls; handling incoming donations and preparing for deposit to the bank; creating timely donation acknowledgement letters; creating and processing vouchers to pay vendor invoices; and general filing and administrative tasks. We expect that the position will require 10 hours per week through December, then 20 hours per week through late January and approximately 25 hours per week for February through mid-March.
Required Qualifications: High school degree; demonstrated bookkeeping skills; proven skills in professional relationships, organizational and computer skills; proven computer skills including Word, Excel and other appropriate applications; knowledge of and commitment to Catholic teachings and practices and the mission of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh; valid NC Driver’s License and a vehicle in working order for business use; authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English oral and written communication
